solar cookers international (sci) in sacramento,
california is a mostly volunteer organization, and the spread of solar cooking
is basically people-to-people. that's why you can make a difference in many ways. thanks

- educate yourself - read the
documents presented here in the solar cooking archive and the
solar cooking archive wiki to gain a background knowledge.
build your own solar cooker and become proficient in cooking with it.
- advocacy - introduce solar cooking to people who can encourage its spread to
the people who need it most. urge leaders and policy makers to support sustainable energy
solutions.

friends become friends of sci. if each of us gets one new member, our strength and
activities can double.
- solar cooking demonstrations
- at public events, for school children and youth groups, for special friends in your
home. with advance notice, sci can send display photos and brochures by surface mail.
- fun(d)-raising for sci - your
group or community can support sci, be listed in this newsletter as an organizational
member, and have fun too. creative events people have organized include community
solarbrations, sol food pot-lucks and sun runs.

- start your own solar cooking project in your part of the world. we have

- most of our educational materials have been recently updated in english, but not in
other languages. tell us what language(s) you are very fluent in and what you would like
