14th annual tucson solar potluck
citizens for solar, a non-profit group operating out of tucson, arizona, has
announced the date for their annual solar potluck. the 14th annual tucson
solar potluck, the oldest solar potluck in the united states, will be held
at catalina state park on may 4, 1996. the park is located 10 miles north
of tucson.
the tucson solar potluck attracts an average of 100 solar chefs each year,
and more than 1,000 people attend the event during the course of the day.
in 1994, cbs sunday evening news did a feature on the potluck for its earth
day story. the 1990 potluck was made into a documentary, "a day in the
sun," and has aired on pbs and cable stations throughout the united states.
the tucson event has become an annual gathering point for solar enthusiasts
