The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is an arrangement under the Kyoto Protocol that allows industrialized countries with a greenhouse gas reduction commitment (so-called Annex 1 countries), or companies in Annex 1 countries, to invest in GHG emission reduction projects in developing countries that generate certified emissions reductions (CERīs) that then can be used to help meet these commitments.  CDM projects must also contribute to the sustainable development of the host country.

Dr. Dieter Seifert has been called "the father of the parabolic solar cooker." We spoke during the 2006 Granada solar cooking conference.
