Solar Connect Association (SCA) is a Ugandan local NGO whose mission is: conservation of Uganda's beautiful forests and savannah woodlands through promotion of energy technologies and other energy saving technologies in households and the larger community and enhance their standards.

Currently SCA is running a Solar Cooker Promotion Project in the Albertine Rift of Western Uganda. This project promotes solar cookers, solar food dryers and fuel efficient stoves using charcoal and wood. This helps in reducing the felling of trees for firewood. Kawesa has been actively working on these projects since 1994. Up to this point, thousands of solar cookers have been built.
